Why callas pdfToolbox Server?

pdfToolbox Server makes it possible to process PDF documents in a fully automated way. You can configure as many processing jobs as you like. Each job is configured with an input folder that pdfToolbox Server keeps an eye on. As soon as new files arrive, they are picked up and processed according to the job's configuration. If errors are detected, the processed files are placed in an "Error" output folder. Files that are considered successful are moved to a "Success" output folder.

pdfToolbox Server can even integrate the manual and automatic aspects of a workflow. In other words: is intervention required to visually check files with errors in order to decide whether they will really be a problem in production, or to repair them? No problem. pdfToolbox Server can automatically hold problem files at a checkpoint. pdfToolbox Desktop users then receive a list of problem files that they can inspect or correct at their workstation. After inspection, the file (or a modified version) can be sent to the "Success" or "Error" folder and continue through the workflow.

Are there other quality control or PDF document repair aspects you would like to automate? pdfToolbox Server integrates seamlessly into automation solutions such as Enfocus Switch and Laidback FileTrain to enable receiving and sending files via FTP servers, sending notifications by email, connecting to databases, working with XML files and much more.

Each job in pdfToolbox Server can be configured with a preflight profile. These profiles not only enable fully automated quality control but can also fix common PDF problems. With its standard profiles, pdfToolbox Server supports a broad range of preflight standards:

It goes without saying that you can extend or adjust any built-in profile so that it precisely meets the quality rules you apply in your workflow.
