New PitStop actions
Add pages with colour separations
It is now possible to generate colour separations in PitStop Pro and add them to the document as separate pages. This is useful for screen printing or for tracking down printing issues. Various options are available, including the location of the added pages, the output resolution, image compression and the choice between greyscale or coloured separations.
Add pages with extracted content
In digital finishing it is sometimes useful to separate the print content from the technical content. This new action makes it easy to split print content from technical elements such as foil or cutting paths, which is handy for certain finishing devices.
Key improvements
Improved search experience. Search is faster and presents results more clearly in a hierarchical structure, making it easier to find the right resource.
Better dark mode support. Visibility issues in dark mode have been resolved for a better experience on macOS.
Active buttons in the Inspector (Mac). Buttons stay visible as long as a selection is active, regardless of whether the dialog has focus. In addition, the dropdowns in the Smart Preflight panel have been enlarged for better readability.
Updated flattening library. This update delivers more consistent performance when flattening files in PitStop Server and the PitStop library.
PitStop Server
PitStop Server now supports PNG and JPEG files, which are internally converted to PDF for further processing. Other image formats such as TIFF are not yet supported. Four new default action lists have also been added, including the option to generate colour separations while keeping or converting spots to CMYK.
